Picnic Details
When: 10:30-17:00 on either 05 or 06 September — pick your date!
Where: We’ll meet at Les Planes FGC station at 10:30am and start walking from there.
Distance from Barcelona city center: 20 min
The price includes: Guided hike, a delicious picnic, snacks and beverages.
How many people will join? 8 people max.
Registration is open until: 02 September @ 22:00
Difficulty level: Easy. 7km with a 200m elevation gain. Remember, your picnic will already be set up when we arrive at the picnic spot, as if by magic elves, so you won’t need to carry anything extra.

Trail Snacks: Banana-chocolate-walnut cookies & cold brew coffee
Important info
What to bring: Most importantly, bring at least 1l of water and comfortable hiking shoes. Optional: Bring your sandals for some river walking, plus sunscreen, a sun hat, sunglasses, hiking poles, mosquito repellent, and a waterproof jacket just in case.
How to get there and back: The FGC train is pretty great. Our hike begins at Les Planes station. If you plan to get on at Plaça Catalunya, you should get on the 10:00am train there. There are many other stations in between, so choose the one most convenient for you. Here is a link for you to plan your transport. We will bring everyone back to a different FGC station (La Floresta) at 17:00, one stop away from Les Planes, our starting point, and 20 minutos from Plaça Catalunya. If you prefer to drive, there are free public parking lots near our starting point at Les Planes station and at the end of the day you can travel one stop from La Floresta to Les Planes to get back to your car.
About Covid-19: Your health and safety are really important to us and we follow all the recommended Covid-19 guidelines. We also require that everyone brings a mask and wears it at all times during travel to and from the trail. Fortunately, we will be spending most of the day in natural open spaces, which are really the best place to be right now and where masks are unnecessary. All of the food is prepared in a kitchen that follows every protocol and we will serve the picnic accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please get in touch. We take this pandemic very seriously and want you to feel safe, comfortable and carefree. We’ll be happy to talk you through our approach.
Cancellation policy: If you cancel 72 hours before the picnic begins we will refund you 50%. There are no refunds if you cancel less than 72 hours before the picnic. It’s unlikely but possible that Kickass Picnics may have to cancel a picnic due to Covid-19 restrictions, weather forecasts or other external factors. If this happens, we’ll offer you the choice of a full refund or a new picnic date. We may also decide to change to a similar location with better weather conditions.
